Need Santa?

A few of my postings have been about my experiences as a professional Santa Claus.  I never thought I would grow up to look like the jolly old elf, but it happened, so I embrace it.  And it has been rewarding.  You can see a little more about me at my Santa website  Thanks for visiting.

It's that time of year when the air turns crisp and my suit turns red.  I hop into the sleigh, and it takes me to Hollywood studios, shopping malls, and tree lightings.  It flies from glittering hotel corridors to institutional hallways, from grand estates to humble abodes.  Sometimes I visit folks, and sometimes they come to visit me.

One little visitor who stopped by to see her "Uncle Santa" is my grand niece--my sister's daughter's child.  Here's wishing you many enjoyable visits great and small over the next couple of weeks.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Some photos of the tree lighting afternoon and evening at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel, CA.

Still setting up, later there will be a band, crowds of people, and Santa will come down the drive in a red woody station wagon with his elves dancing ahead

Plus snow machines, cookies, candy canes, hot cocoa for the crowd.
The giant outdoor tree and all the palms down the drive will be lit, Yeah that’s Christmas in California baby!

Main entry to Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

The chefs work on an undersea gingerbread candy scene for a month.

The halls are lined with custom surfboards auctioned off for charity the day before.

Upstairs a reception room is prepared for invited guests.

Arrangements on all the tables.

A beautiful service of appetizers and libations for the adults. The Dickens Carolers will arrive soon.

But best of all a Christmas playground for the kids with a coloring table and a Santa letter writing table.

Plus a choice of unlimited Strawberry milk or cocoa on a table low enough for little refills, and in visible in the background flavored popcorn cart.

Low tables are set out with comfy kid pillows to sit on and…

Tables with icing bags and candy for decorating cookies!

Last minutes elf instructions…

And here come the kiddos!

Spectacular ocean views outside the reception room.

Bird of Paradise blooming in the sunny planters.

Coastal view of the resort above and beach below.

Whew! Can’t wait to do it again next year!!
